DDB Access is on Mac App Store. However, in case of developer problem, the Mac App Store version as well as this website would disappear shortly from Internet.
Below is a link for a more durable “SL” (Second Life) version:
- The SL version can be (re)installed at any moment on the same machine or another one (backup the installer!)
- It receives updates in line with the Mac App Store version.
- Frequent users should prefer the durable (SL) version.
- Audio: Japanese language added (WIP)
- Bug fixes.
- Dictionaries updated.
Japanese language was added according to a suggestion by Alexander O'Neill (Musashino University) and with his strong cooperation.
It offers as much as possible On Yomi reading. The first katakana reading in DDB or CJKV-E is used for each word. The method cannot be 100% accurate but it should provide a good approximation for Buddhist texts. For Classical Chinese texts, CJKV-E is still to be reviewed.
Some features are still missing after the app was 100% re-written:
- Search page: tags.
- Lookup: back / forward, zoom.
- Series: back / forward.
