SmartHanzi (Mac version)
The link below is for a more durable “SL” (Second Life) version than the one published on Mac App Store.
Both versions receive the same updates, but the SL version can be (re)installed later on the same machine or another one even if publication was stopped.
For frequent users, it is strongly recommended to:
- Prefer the SL version available below.
- Backup the installer.
New in this version
- Dictionaries updated.
- Fixed: in text views, alternative selections are more precise.

macOS Big Sur (11.0) or newer.
Legacy version
For older Mac systems: 2023.11 SL
Installation
Updates are notified but there are no automatic updates.
- Download the SL application below.
- (Uncompress if not done)
- Move it from the download folder to the Applications folder.
- Save a copy of the installer.
The SL version can be installed on the same machine as the Mac App Store version.
