SmartHanzi for Kanjis is available with the link below and on Mac App Store. Both versions receivent the same updates.
The "SL" (Side Loading) version can be reinstalled later on the same machine or another one even if publication is discontinued.
Frequent users: prefer the SL version, keep a copy of the installation file.
With regard to the iPad, iPhone version (on App Store), the Mac version allows multiple concurrent texts, fast hovering over texts, and words and characters shown together in separate lists.
Update strongly recommended. Previous versions may stop working by end 2026 - beginning 2027.

Updates are notified but there are no automatic updates.
Starting with version 2026.09, the download uses a usual DMG file:
- Double click on the .dmg file.
- Drag & drop the app icon into the Applications icon.
Keep a copy of the installer (the .dmg file) outside the Downloads folder, so it is not deleted by cleaning tools.
Previous versions (.zip file):- (Uncompress .zip file if not done)
- Move it from the download folder to the Applications folder.
- Save a copy of the installer.
(the SL version can be installed on the same machine as the Mac App Store version)
